  Cockenzie and Port Seton lies approx. 12 Miles East of Edinburgh on the South Shore of the Firth of Forth.

Originally two separate fishing villages, now combined to form one town but retaining it's two harbours. Fishing is one of the main industries and Cockenzie harbour is home to a well respected firm of Boat builders.

The first working railway in Scotland terminated here bringing coal from the pits around Tranent and Prestonpans.

The stretch of Seton Sands to the East of the town has become a popular Holiday destination, while Seton House and the Collegiate Church to the West are well worth a visit.

Public Transport to and from Edinburgh is available on a regular basis.

The town is well supplied with local high street shops, pubs, coffee shops a filling station and local businesses while a caravan/holiday park lies next to Seton Sands.

What to see and do in
Port Seton Harbour is a working harbour and when the fishing fleet is in port there is a busy hustle and bustle about the whole area with the fishermen unloading their catches and the fish merchants transporting their fish to the various stores. The harbour is also home to many pleasure craft and yachts and offers a safe haven to passing yachtsmen.

The Golf Course at nearby Longniddry offers the golfer an interesting links course, or a pleasant walk can be taken along the promenade to the two mile stretch of Seton Sands where you can relax on the beach.

Chalmers Memorial Church still retains some of the internel features of the original Free Church. Seton House and the Collegiate Church to the south of the town are popular with those who have an interest in Buildings and History.
