What to see and do in Gullane.
Gullane Bents, as the seashore is known, is easily accessible from the town and provides many recreational possibilities. An ideal area for picnics, bathing, a lazy day on the extensive beach, or a ramble through the dunes. This is also a good starting off point for a walk along the shore either to Aberlady to the West or Dirleton and North Berwick to the East.

The 12 Th.century St.Andrews Church, now ruinous, was, in the 17 Th.century, buried under sand blown off the shore and completely abandoned.

Gullane is of course famed for it’s Golf Courses, with three in the town itself, not to mention Muirfield, and many others within easy reach the golfer is spoiled for choice and is well catered for.

The Tennis Courts in the town offer the chance of a knock about or a more serious game while the Bowling Green with it’s well tended rinks offers a pleasant relaxing afternoon.

Gullane plays host to Gullane Games Week which is great fun for Adults and Children alike offering activities all throughout the week.
