The 3 mile stretch of Longniddry Bents with it's long sandy beaches and extensive car parking facilities make this area extremely popular for those wishing to relax on the beach, bathe or bird watch. From Gosford Bay to the East, which is very popular with Windsurfers, the bents afford a pleasant ramble along the shoreline to the broad expanse of Seton Sands to the West.

The Golf Course to the West of the village offers a very interesting links course while there are numerous other courses within close proximity.

Just to the East of the village a pleasant 4 mile walk can be taken along the disused railway line towards Haddington to the South.

Gosford House, built by Robert Adam and home to the Earl of Wemyss, to the East of the village houses an important collection of paintings while Seton House and the Collegiate Church to the West of the village are popular with those who have an interest in architecture and history.
